Welcoming Students of All Grades and Ages

All students—from preschool through college, including teachers, staff, and caregivers—are warmly invited to Christ the King Lutheran Church’s annual Backpack Blessing as we prepare for the 2025–26 school year. Bring your backpack, tote, laptop bag, or work bag to worship and receive a special blessing and encouragement for the journey ahead.

What to Expect

Worship services include individual blessing over backpacks
A simple prayer for the school year ahead, for students and educators alike
Blessing tokens or tags provided for every student
Photo station and fellowship time with light refreshments following each service
