Christ the King Lutheran Church

Our History

Christ the King Lutheran Church was chartered as a congregation on Christmas Day, 1961. The founding Pastor Carston Ludder served as pastor until his death in 1987. Christ the King was founded as a Mission Development congregation of the former Lutheran Church in America for southern Miami-Dade County, and today remains the largest church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in Miami. The current sanctuary was built in 1975, and designed by architect Angela Uhler.
