At Christ the King Lutheran Church, we joyfully invite you to experience the love of Christ in a community that values grace, hospitality, and authentic connection. Whether you're exploring faith for the first time or seeking a new church home, we welcome you with open hearts and open doors. You don’t have to have everything figured out—just come as you are.
We were hoping you would stop by for a visit!
Hopefully, as you surf our ever-reforming website you will discover what is at the core of our mission and ministry; we are a deeply spiritual community, formed by worship, prayer, and service. We at Christ the King are an evangelical and catholic faith community. What that means is we are a faith community whose mission and ministry is all about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those around us in both word and deed since the true origin of the word “evangelical” means “good news sharing.” And we are “catholic” in that we are part of the universal western church, sharing the same liturgical and sacramental actions in common but with the focus upon the good news, the healing that Jesus Christ offers us and our world. We understand ourselves to be a community bound together by God’s mission, growing in faith, and understanding, reflecting the love and power of Jesus Christ to others. We are a congregation that values forgiveness, giving to the needs of others, and deepening our spiritual lives, and deepening our relationship with the Holy and thereby modeling that to our children all the while creating a greater sense of community among those who gather for worship, study, and serving our Lord and our neighbors.
We invite you to check us out! Come and be transformed.

Our worship is joyful, reverent, and centered on the presence of Christ. Whether you prefer the tradition of hymns and liturgy or the energy of contemporary praise music, we offer services that reflect both expressions of faith. Each worship gathering invites us to come together in God’s name, sing cherished hymns or modern worship songs, hear God’s Word through Scripture and preaching, and come to the table of Holy Communion.
Each service lasts about an hour. You are welcome to participate at your own comfort level and bring your questions, your faith, or your doubts—Christ meets us all with grace.
With full choir and powerful organ, this traditional service follows the historic liturgy of the Lutheran church. The tone is more formal and majestic, with Holy Eucharist offered each week.
This informal and welcoming service features modern worship music led by keyboard and percussion. The language is updated for today’s usage, and Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday.

When a month includes a fifth Sunday, we gather together for one united service featuring a blended style of worship.
Children are a cherished part of the CTKMiami community. Sunday School is offered during the 10:00 AM service for children in PreK through 6th grade. On the first Sunday of each month, families worship together during Family Sunday. We also offer youth choir, confirmation classes, and service opportunities for teens.
Simply by joining in worship, you are part of God's promise: “Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them” (Matthew 18:20).
Music is central to Lutheran worship. Singing hymns together is how we proclaim the Gospel, express our faith, and encourage one another in hope and joy.
Through readings, sermons, and reflection, we listen for God’s voice—challenging us, comforting us, and reminding us of His grace.
At each service, baptized believers are invited to Christ’s table to receive the bread and wine, the body and blood of our Lord. You don’t need perfect understanding—just a heart ready to receive His gift with faith.
Worship ends with a sending—not to go back to “normal life,” but to live out the love of Christ in your relationships, work, and service. We are sent into the world as God’s people, renewed and empowered.
